According to some world leaders, Islam is a religion of peace. Based on this article and the statistics found within, the evidence shows the exact opposite. If those who promote the Islamic faith say this is not the case, then why are they silent? Should they not stand up and say something and call the terrorists for what they are, or are they supporting what the Koran actually states and labeling non Muslims as heretics that need to be destroyed?
 
November 16 - Terror attacks in developed world surge 650% in one year

The developed world became more dangerous in 2015 with a massive increase in deaths from terrorism, although globally there was a slight fall, according to new figures released Wednesday. There was a 650% increase in fatal terror attacks on people living in the world's biggest economies in 2015, the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) 2016 reveals.
The annual report carried out for think tank the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) shows a complex picture with terrorism intensifying in some countries and spreading to new ones. In 2015, there were 731 deaths related to terrorism in the 34 countries that make up the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which includes the US, UK, Germany, France, and Turkey. The number represents the 650% increase on the previous year, with 21 of the 34 countries suffering at least one attack, the report says. Most of the victims were killed in Turkey and France.
