Another year is quickly coming to an end. While 2008 has been filled with many challenges, obstacles and difficulties, the Lord has continued to use Understand The Times to contend for the faith and proclaim the gospel throughout the world.

I have just returned from my last speaking tour for this year which took me to 11 different locations in Australia and New Zealand. While on this tour, I spoke on a variety of topics dealing with last days spiritual deception as well as the importance of creation as the foundation of the Christian faith.

It was amazing to meet so many people in such far away places that were familiar with the ministry of Understand The Times though their use of our website, books and DVD's. This confirmed to me how the ministry continues twenty-four hours a day around the world even when we are not communicating to people at conferences or other meetings.

Upon returning from the Australia/New Zealand tour I had one day at home before leaving for Dallas, Texas and the Pre-trib Rapture conference where I was asked to make a presentation on "Apostasy and the Emerging Church." Once more, I was amazed by the number of people in attendance who were familiar with the ministry of Understand The Times and who were very supportive.

Many who I have spoken with recently expressed their concerns about my health. This has been one of the obstacles that we have faced this past year. While my Dr. has determined that I have an auto-immune disease, the cause of this disease is an unknown factor, at least at this time. Please continue to pray that God would give the medical professionals wisdom to know what is going on and how to treat this problem.

My schedule begins in January with an 18 day trip to Myanmar and the Philippines where we will be involved to proclaiming the gospel and reaching out to the poor and needy. I thank God for all who have financially participated in these outreaches this past year. It has become apparent that sharing the gospel in some of the darkest places on this planet has become one of the important priorities of our call to ministry.

There are a number of ideas and goals that we have proposed in the past that we have had to place on the side lines. We believe that God leads us by the way He provides. Also, my physical well being has dictated what we can or cannot do at this time.

Myrna and I want you to know how much we appreciate all those who have contributed to the ministry of Understand The Times this past year. Also, we are grateful to the volunteers that contribute to making Understand The Times what it is. Without all of your input, time, prayers and concern, there would be no ministry. We pray that God would richly guide, direct and bless you throughout 2009.
