God's Word For Today

Psalm 33:12

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."

Comment:

This is a well-known verse and one that a chorus has been written and often sung. While many nations refuse to recognize this fact, Israel is this chosen nation and God has blessed them in spite of the fact that the world is has and continues to turn against them. While Jews are not by any means perfect, they are God�s chosen people. This is a fact that cannot be denied based on the Old and New Testaments.

Application:

Where do you personally stand with regard to your interpretation of this verse. It is not a matter of interpreting; this is a matter of believing. Do you belong to a church that has replaced Israel with the church? This is called Replacement Theology and is an abomination unto God. The facts reveal according to the Bible that God will not abandon his people although many have abandoned Him. There will be a remnant. God also states that those who will bless His people, He will bless them.
