Luke 8:17-18 "For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Therefore, take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."
While we live our day to day lives and we may think that our actions are hidden, the Bible states that God, who is omniscient, knows all things about everything we do or say. Therefore, nothing is secret. The other important factor is how God’s grace reveals truth unto man. Those who are open to God’s leading by His Holy Spirit will be given more truth and those who are not open may lose what they already had been given. This is not a works based law but the way God directs the affairs of mankind according to His sovereign plan.
Application: We should examine our daily lives and be aware that our actions, while they may seem to be hidden to God, are not. We should also be aware that it is God who provides wisdom and understanding and not our own brainpower. Wisdom is a gift of God. Those who reject God may believe they are wise by their own means but the end thereof is folly.
