Understand The Times is an international ministry dedicated to proclaiming the gospel worldwide by being on the offense as well as the defense. Recently the door has opened to establish a ministry base in the Philippines. Will you consider being a part of our team?

Since the vision for Understand The Times was established in the early 1990’s, God has opened doors to proclaim the gospel and contend for the faith around the world. This past year, we have sensed the LORD moving us in a new direction.

For twenty years, UTT has been primarily based in California. Our Canadian base in Eston, Saskatchewan was secondary. However, as the result of various circumstances, it is apparent it is time to move our base back to where my wife and I both were born. God made us willing to leave Canada and go to California twenty years ago. We are now willing to leave and return home.

It is apparent that God is opening doors for the ministry that we never expected would open twenty years ago. Since 1988, Understand The Times has been involved in proclaiming the gospel in over 50 countries. We have had the opportunity to minister in Russia and the other republics of the former Soviet Union approximately 40 times.

Recently the LORD has impressed us to take the message of the gospel to the darkest places on the planet – for example last year we were in Myanmar and Rome, Italy on mission trips. In both countries the Evidence For Creation was translated and the creation message proclaimed as the foundation of the gospel.

Now it is apparent we have been called to the Philippines. In our last program I explained how God used Michael Miller from the state of Washington as the agent to help connect the dots. In January of 2008 I went to Manila and Bageo and conducted two pastors conferences. The results of being in the Philippines and seeing the need there has compelled us to establish Understand The Times Philippines.

Our representative there will be Pastor Rueben. He and his wife were already prepared for their own personal venture in faith before we arrived in the Philippines. Pastor Rueben is a young man who has a vision to reach his nation with the gospel as well as a heart to help his people who have tremendous needs.

Pastor Reuben will be moving from the Manila area to the Bageo area where he and his wife will coordinate the various projects we will be sharing with you over the next two weeks of programs. The funding for these projects will come from UTT USA and UTT Canada, as the LORD provides.

We believe that Christians in North America and Europe, once they hear and see the desperate need there is in the Philippines will respond. While there are good pastors already in the Philippines who love and appreciate the Word of God, the need to come along side them and provide material assistance is paramount.

As you can understand, Understand The Times is not seeking another ministry somewhere else in the world because we need something else to do. At present we are overwhelmed with work. Our vision is far beyond our means.
