October 17 - U.S. intelligence on alert for Israeli strike on Iran
Artical: Wars And Rumors Of Wars

The Pentagon is watching for the possibility that Israel could use the occasion of an alleged Iranian plot to kill the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States as a pretext for launching a long-anticipated attack on Iran's nuclear sites, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

The source, who is in a position to monitor Israeli defense activities, said the U.S. is watching "an indicator and warning matrix" in which the U.S. can "go so far as to plot the illumination tables to pick out what nights would be best" for such an attack.

The intelligence source said that there is "a green light" for the Israelis "to do a strike." The source said that the concern among some U.S. analysts is that an attack could be "imminent."

The U.S. intelligence source said while some analysts believe an Israeli attack may be imminent, close I&W monitoring of Israeli defense posture indicated that only their civil defense had been "spun up" at the moment.

Even President Obama has stated that "nothing is off the table" when it comes to responding to Iran.

October 17 - Saudi King Abdullah's Interfaith Center in Italy to Unify the World's Religions?
 Article: One World Religion

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has been planning for years to find a way to unite the world's major religions in an effort to help foster peace, and believes a new international organization to be housed in Vienna, Italy will help make that dream a reality.

As the institution was officially founded Thursday, some Christians are likely to start pointing to interpretations of biblical prophecy about the emergence of a one-world religion many believe precedes the return of Jesus Christ.

According to media reports, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, Austrian Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor Michael Spindelegger and Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez Garcia-Herrera oversaw the signing of a contract between the three nations Thursday, in which they will cooperate in the building and organization of an interfaith center in Vienna. Other high level officials from the three nations were also reportedly in attendance at the treaty signing.

The building, to be called the "King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue," was conceived of by its namesake and mostly financed by the Saudi government. According to media reports the center will be composed of a governing body of 12 representatives, among that number will be representatives from Islam (one each Sunni and Shiite), Christians (one each Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox), a Buddhist, a Hindu and a Jewish representative.

There will also be a consulting body with 100 representatives from various faiths, as well as "academics and members of civil society,"
Deutsche Welle news agency reports.

"The thesis is valid that world peace cannot exist without peace between the world's major religions," Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said during the signing ceremony in Vienna, according to Deutsche Welle.

The news agency also reports that Spindelegger said the organization's structure has been designed to make sure no single faith has the upper hand and that politics would have no part in the center's government. Garcia-Herrera also noted that membership would be made available to other nations.

The Deutsche Well report reveals that King Abdullah conceived the idea after meeting with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in 2007. It was after emerging from that meeting that King Abdullah called on Christians and Muslims to find common ground for world peace.

The Sun Daily reports that Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Vatican's department for interfaith dialogue, while critical of Saudi Arabia's lack of religious freedom, supports King Abdullah's interreligious plan. He reportedly noted that the Holy See might seek observer status.

October 24 - TSA deploys 'VIPR' teams throughout Tennessee to set up illegal security checkpoints on interstates
 Article: One World Government

When the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced last year that it would soon begin setting up security checkpoints in places other than just airports, it definitely was not joking. News Channel 5 in Nashville, Tenn., has announced that Tennessee is the official inaugural state for the launch of TSA's new Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) program, which will be setting up security checkpoints along interstates to conduct random (illegal) searches of vehicles.

TSA set up one of its first VIPR checkpoints in Tampa, Fla., last December after announcing to the world its plans to expand illegal searches to all aspects of American life. Presumably a test to see how the public would respond. VIPR teams groped and patted down passengers at a local Greyhound bus station, and they even brought in sniff dogs to add an extra layer of intimidation.
Later on during the summer of 2011, TSA announced again its plans to search innocent Americans at train stations, bus stops, and truck stops. At that time, TSA requested 12 more units to add to its fleet of VIPR teams, most of which had still not necessarily been deployed.
And now an entire state has succumbed to the encroachment of the illegitimate US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its unlawful violations of the Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments to the US Constitution. VIPR teams have already been deployed to five truck weigh stations and two bus stations across Tennessee, with more soon to come.

Random security checkpoints, perpetual paranoia about terrorists around every corner, a rogue government that is pressing citizens to spy on each other and report their activities to authorities -- these are all protocols that took effect in Nazi Germany during the rise of Hitler, and they are all protocols that are now in effect in the US today. Think about it.

October 23 - Media pushes 'success' of experimental GSK malaria vaccine while ignoring deadly side effects
 Article: Miscellaneous

The mainstream media is abuzz with excitement over GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) latest offering, a malaria trial vaccine that the company claims can cut the risk of clinical and severe malaria in children by 56 percent and 47 percent, respectively. But what GSK and the media are failing to report are the deadly side effects that may accompany the vaccine.

Unveiled at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's recent Malaria Forum conference
in Seattle, Wash., the results of the Phase III African study on the malaria vaccine, known as RTS,S, suggest that children who receive three doses of it can derive additional protection against malaria when used in conjunction with other disease control methods. But the findings also show that vaccinated children are at a high risk of serious injury or death as well.

A report by EarthTimes explains that the full gamut of long term side effects associated with RTS,S will not be known until at least the end of 2014. It also states that "serious adverse events (very serious side effects) for [RTS,S] are around the same level as in those who were given a control drug". But what exactly was the control drug, and what are these "same level" side effects?

It all sounds so wonderful and humanitarian, but the fact of the matter is that nearly 18 percent of children in the older vaccinated group suffered serious adverse events from the vaccine, while more than 13 percent in the youngest group suffered the same. And more than 150 children from both groups died during the study.
And since very little is known about how the vaccine affects fertility, neurological function, bodily organs, immunity, and many other aspects of health and well-being in the long term, it is hardly a time to be celebrating.

October 18 - Harold Camping Oct. 21 Rapture: God Stopped Saving People in May, Family Radio Says
 Article: Unbiblical Christianity

Family Radio says if you weren't among those who were saved by May 21, the date of Harold Camping's Rapture prediction, then it's too late.

When its general manager Camping made a doomsday prediction back in May that was a "physical" failure, Family Radio informed the world that God actually used the much-publicized event "to warn the whole world that on May 21 [His] salvation program would be finished on that day."

According to Camping and Family Radio, the whole world has been "under God's judgment" since May 21. Everyone, except for the elect, or "true believers," has been hanging under God's wrath, which will unfold on Oct. 21.

God was only trying to shake up the world when He "hid" His actual plans from Camping, Family Radio purports in a document published on its website titled "What Happened on May 21?"

On May 21, "each and every true believer had become eternally safe with God in Heaven" and "no one who had not become saved by that date can ever become saved."

If Camping and Family Radio and their supporters hand not "warned" the world of God's impending doom, more people would not have been saved by May 21.

Those who came to belief in Jesus Christ after May 21, however, are out of God's good graces, according to Camping. The period of salvation is over, so any new believers with genuine faith in Jesus Christ are essentially damned, based on Family Radio's explanation.

While it purports that "only God knows who His elect are that He saved prior to May 21, Family Radio insists that "anyone can continue to beseech God for mercy because salvation and the election program are entirely in God's hands." Family Radio closes its explanation of Camping's failed May 21 prediction by noting, "You, too, without your knowledge may have become saved before that date."

October 20 - 105 dead in Central America after days of rain
Article: Signs Of Teh Last Times

At least 105 people have died in flooding and landslides provoked by 10 days of heavy rains in Central America, authorities said Thursday.

More than a million people have been affected in the region, prompting officials to ask for humanitarian aid and urge those unaffected to show solidarity.

Almost 60 inches (152 centimeters) of rain have accumulated in the past 10 days. The cumulative record of Hurricane Mitch, which devastated the region in 1998, killing 11,000 people, was 34 inches (86 centimeters), said Salvadoran Natural Resources Minister German Rosa Chavez.

Salvadoran President Mauricio Funes urged the international community to send humanitarian aid, saying in a televised message to the nation Wednesday night, "El Salvador is going through one of the most dramatic disasters in its history."

Guatemala has reported 38 deaths; El Salvador, 34; Honduras, 15; Nicaragua 13 and Costa Rica, 5.

October 22 - Flood Waters Submerge One Third Of Thailand
Article: Signs Of The Last Times

Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday assumed powers under the natural disaster law giving her full authority to implement a nationwide disaster relief plan as more than one-third of the country is underwater.

Yingluck, who said the move was necessary to streamline relief operations, has ordered the Defense Ministry and the army to oversee and protect key places.
The government has struggled to channel the massive amount of water that has caused widespread flooding in the country's Central Plains, around the outskirts of Bangkok.

Yingluck said on Thursday that it is impossible to protect all of Bangkok from the country's worst floods in decades, adding that they "cannot block the water forever".

Inner Bangkok has so far escaped major flooding as authorities divert water to areas outside the main capital, but efforts to keep the city of 12 million people dry have been complicated by a seasonal high tide.

Thailand has been hit by unusually heavy monsoon rains in the past months, killing at least 320 people in flood-related incidents and affecting thousands of villages. Currently, about one-third of Thailand's provinces are affected.

In April and May, Thailand was also hit by flooding in the country's southern region, causing billions in damages to their fishing industry, industrial sector, tourism, and business and trade, among other areas.
