August 14 - Catholic Church Covered Up Child Abuse By 301 Priests In Pennsylvania: Report
Article: Roman Catholic Church And The Last Days
Comment from UTT:
A
very sad and tragic pattern that continues to repeat worldwide.
Pennsylvania's attorney
general released on Tuesday the long-awaited
results of a damning
grand jury investigation into how six Roman
Catholic dioceses in the state covered up
sexual abuse by 301 "predator priests" over
70 years.
The
884-page
report
is the largest, most comprehensive
investigation on the church's sex abuse
scandal by a U.S. state,
according to Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
The grand jury
identified over 1,000
victims in
the six dioceses examined in the
report: Allentown, Erie, Greensburg,
Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Scranton. But the
jurors suspected the real number of victims
could be much higher.

August 26 - Pope in Knock: I Am Happy to Be in Mary's Home
Article: Roman Catholic Church And The Last Days
Comment from UTT:
Another example of a "Mary" centered Christianity occurred when Pope
Francis visited Ireland. Where in the Bible do we find justification for
praying to a statue?
"I'm happy to be here with
you. I
am happy to be with you in Mary's home."
On the second day of his Aug. 25-26, 2018,
visit to Ireland for the occasion of the
World Meeting of Families, Pope Francis
stressed this during his Angelus address
which he gave in the northwestern town of
Knock. Knock is a beloved pilgrimage site
for the Irish.
In 1979, Pope St John Paul II
visited the site, located in the Irish
County of Mayo,
for the centenary of
the Marian and Eucharistic apparition that
took place there. The apparition was
witnessed by 15 people independently and
verified by the Church.

August 21 - 4 in 10 Evangelical Churchgoers Say Their Church Teaches Prosperity Gospel
Article: Unbiblical Christianity
Comment from UTT:
This article reveals interesting statistics regarding the acceptance and
promotion of the "prosperity gospel" within evangelical Christianity
About four in 10 evangelical
Christians say they attend a church where
they're taught elements of prosperity gospel,
according to a poll.
In a survey released at the end of July, LifeWay
Research
found that 41 percent of
Christians with evangelical beliefs either
somewhat or strongly agree that their church
"teaches that if I give more money to my church
and charities, God will bless me in return."
By comparison, only 38 percent of
all Protestant respondents agreed with that
statement, while 57 percent of Protestants
disagreed. Meanwhile only 26 percent of
Protestant churchgoers agreed that "to receive
material blessings from God, I have to do
something for God."

August 18 - Report: 'Deal of the Century' to be unveiled next month
Article: Israel And The Last Days
Comment from UTT:
We
are in very interesting times when a man claims to have a
peace plan for the middle-east. Is Trump fulfilling Bible
prophecy? Should such a plan be accepted, we know from a
biblical perspective that it will not last. There will never
be peace in the middle-east.
The
Trump Administration will unveil
its long-awaited Middle East
peace plan next month,
according to a report by
Palestinian Authority newspaper
Al Quds.
The plan,
which President
Donald Trump has dubbed the
'Deal of the Century,' will
reportedly be unveiled during
Trump's speech to the UN General
Assembly on September 25.
The plan was
drafted by
US Special Envoy
to the Middle East Jason
Greenblatt and Trump's advisor
and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

August 24 - Chinese Military Joining Russians for Nuclear War Games
Article: Wars And Rumors Of Wars
Comment from UTT:
It is very significant when two world powers such as China and Russia
team up together for "nuclear war games". While this can be brushed off
as merely a political maneuver to show off power and threaten the United
States, the reality is that the world sits on the precipice of a global
holocaust.
Russia and China will
hold a large-scale military exercise next
month that will include simulated nuclear
weapons attacks,
according to American defense officials.
The People's Liberation Army
will send more than
3,200 troops, 900 pieces of military
equipment, and 30 aircraft to Russia for the
exercise known as Vostok-18, or East-18, the
Chinese Defense Ministry said, noting the
exercises will involve practicing maneuver
defense, live firing of weapons, and
counterattack.
