August 16 - World is drowning in debt and it spells disaster for everyone
 Article: Miscellaneous

Comment from UTT:

As the following article states, the mounting global accumulated debt is not sustainable. If this is the situation, then a global economic collapse is in the making which could well trigger a global financial meltdown.

The entire planet is swimming in debt, yet no one seems to criticize the system itself as being fundamentally flawed. "A man in debt is so far a slave," American essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson once reportedly said. In light of this statement, I contend that I don't need to have a college degree in economics to tell you that our current financial system enslaving the entire world is not sustainable - and headed for one hell of a spectacularly ugly crash.

Last month, the Washington-based Institute of International Finance published their latest statistics indicating that global debt had reached $247.2 trillion by the end of March this year, an increase of 11.1 percent from last year alone. In other words, since the start of this year, global debt rose by a whopping $8 trillion in just three to four months.

August 15 - Scientists Warn That Millions Of Sea Creatures Are "In Real Peril" As Pacific Ocean Temperatures Rise To Dangerous New Records
Article: Signs Of The Last Times

Comment from UTT:

Scientists are warning about the devastating consequences resulting from the extreme warming of the Pacific Ocean. When ecosystems are in peril, the terms "disaster" and "famine" are used to describe what lies ahead.

Ocean temperatures continue to rise, and scientists are extremely alarmed as a mass die-off of sea creatures appears to be imminent.  This week, environmental experts were stunned when ocean water off of the San Diego coast hit an all-time record high of 81.3 degrees Fahrenheit.  Daily measurements began all the way back in 1916, and since that time a higher ocean temperature has never been recorded off of the California coast.  Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident.  Studies have shown that ocean temperatures have been rising rapidly all over the planet, and this has already had a devastating impact on many ecosystems.  The oceans are the foundation of the food chain, and if sea life starts dying off on a massive scale it could mean unprecedented famine all over the planet.

August 21 - Over The Last 7 Days Our Planet Has Been Violently Shaken By 144 Major Earthquakes
Article: Signs Of The Last Times

Comment from UTT:

The number of earthquakes occurring around the world in recent days are unprecedented. Volcanoes are also erupting at a very high rate. The earth is shaking. Are these events the fulfillment of Jesus' words recorded in Matthew chapter 24?

Within the past few days, we have seen an enormous magnitude 7.3 earthquake hit Venezuela and a giant magnitude 8.2 earthquake hit Fiji.  Where will the next one strike?  To many of us, it is becoming exceedingly clear that something very unusual is happening to our planet.  I went and looked it up, and I was astounded to learn that the crust of the Earth has been shaken by 144 major earthquakes over the last 7 days, and that includes more than 50 on Sunday alone.  And remember, these are not small earthquakes.  The USGS considers any earthquake that is at least magnitude 4.5 to be "significant", and they are happening so rapidly right now that it is difficult to keep up with them.

Usually, only earthquakes that cause death and destruction get attention from the mainstream media, and that was definitely the case with the huge quake that hit the northern coast of Venezuela on Tuesday
