"Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
Our
"hope" is usually in what we know and see. We are prone to examine and
analyze rather than trust God and step out in faith. The Scriptures
tell us in Hebrews 11:6 that "without faith it is impossible to please
God". We read further in chapter 11, that Abraham when he was "called"
he "obeyed". God's Word tells us to "walk by faith and not by sight".
This is what Abraham did.
Money can buy a mountain but faith can move a mountain. Rather than pray
for financial gain or material things, pray for faith - unwavering
faith. While faith does not eliminate problems, when I surrender and
yield, God will be in control. Faith will provide an acceptance in my
heart of what God is working out in my life; faith will sustain me in
the hour of trial.
Are
you willing to surrender, to trust God and accept His provision and plan
for your life? Is your hope in the Lord who made Heaven and Earth? Do
you have unwavering faith and peace with God?
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith
into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of
God." Romans 5:1-2
