Letters For The Ministry

Dear Roger,

i can not tell you how thankful i am for the work you're doing.
You're helping me and i'm sure many other people around the world soo much in staying on the way.

I am just back from a conference (Tools of the trade Conference) at Calvary Chapel Siegen here in Germany.
Where Pastor Ricky Ryan from CC Santa Barbara was promoting the Passion of the Christ!!!
He was telling us how great an idea it has been from his assistent pastor Rick Soto that they could show the Movie prior to its release in 2004. What they did for four times at diferent places in Santa Barbara he told us!
His whole aproach was very positiv and encouraging to us to also have visions like this!!

So, thank you again for your work and stay strong in the Lord.
I am sure you will be abundantly rewarded from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
in heaven.

In Him,

Martin

Hi Roger,

For what it's worth, I just wanted to take a moment to write and say thanks for all the work you do.

For many years, myself and my friends and family have been encouraged by your steadfast commitment
to the Word of God.

You send out all these emails and do all this work around the world. And well, I'm sure many people who
appreciate Understand the Times might not have taken the time to say so. (People like me!).

So...thanks Roger. These are truly perilous times and your example and stand is an encouragement
to many in the Lord.

Chris and Starr Bryant
Langley / B.C.

Hi Roger,

I've just received your email and read your latest posting "Are Emerging Church Critics Too Critical?".

I just wanted to encourage you to carry on 'fighting the good fight' and 'not to grow weary in welldoing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not'.

I'm sure you receive enough negative response and probably, people like me, who have been so very blessed by your ministry, don't encourage you enough. I'm 35 and an assistant pastor over here in England, and you and Understand The Times are a constant source of blessing to me, my family and our church. I am currently taking our people verse-by-verse through Genesis at our Monday evening Bible studies; we are now up to 'The Flood - Gen 6-7'. This evening, as I was preparing for next Monday, I just stopped to check my emails, and yours was there. I couldn't help but see a parallel between your efforts and that of Noah. Noah also was a preacher of righteousness and was faithful to God's word, as you are. It is easy for us to forget how hard it must have been for Noah to continue faithfully building the Ark in the face of a world that had turned its back on God's truth. On that occasion all of Noah's efforts saw just eight people saved; praise God that this time, by His grace, we will see many many more saved.

Keep going for those that will listen; and we'll keep upholding you in prayer.

May our great God and Saviour richly bless you.

Love in Him,

Barry.

Dear Bro. Oakland:
Thank you for your ministry. It was only today that I came across it on the web for the first time. I listened to one your messages. I believe that you have a strategic role to play at this time in the history of the church and of the world. Having read Dave Hunt's book, A Woman Rides the Beast, I understand exactly what you are dealing with. I am truely appalled at the Protestant march along the Roman road. How sad that the martyrs should appear to have died in vain!!!!!!! Even more tragic is the thought that Christ died in vain because we can save ourselves by our own efforts!!!!!!! Truely the end is near.
I am glad for men like you who keep us abreast of the times that we may know what to do. I totally reject the trends of the emerging church. I want to be fully alligned with the true church no matter what it costs. I intend by the grace of God to stand for biblical inerrancy and salvation by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work alone. I intend to sensitize our people here about what is going on. In fact, I just sent emails of your article on the Emerging Church to thirty-eight people including our leaders. I intend to send more from time to time to sensitize and warn them.
I am a pastor/church and leader of my denomination as well as acting sub-regional leader of the Evangelical Church of the W. I. My wife and I returned to serve in the pastorate in 1983 after graduating from Columbia Bible College in South Carolina. We have one grown son who is in ministry in Colorado and one grandson.

.
I intend to keep in touch with you because I want to learn more from you and your organization.

Yours in Christ
Alfred

Dear Roger,

I have just recently discovered your website through your link to Moriel Ministries. Articles which you have written have been a great encouragement to me personally - especially those concerning the escalation in power of the R.C. Church, and the numerous heresies which they promote, also the way in which Rick Warren has taken over so many churches in this land.. Here in the Forest of Dean; Gloucestershire;England, through "Churches Together" the R.C's have succeeded in involving almost every church in the Ecumenical Movement; it seems that the majority of Leaders and members are oblivious to the significance of such a step, and refuse even to discuss what it involves. I confess that I was disillusioned regarding the situation - I was under the impression that if I explained the error of the involvement, to those in leadership positions in the church which I attended,- that it would make a difference, and they would withdraw from the union; I was greatly surprised by the disdain with which I was treated. A few here trust and pray that God will open doors of fellowship and witness in the area - to His Glory.

I pray also that God will refresh you, and revive you at this time, and encourage you in your ministry.

Jean

Dear Rogar,
We recommend your ministry to everyone who will listen. So many answers to questions, sound warnings, and good biblical discernment have come through what you are doing. In a confusing and frustrating and somewhat painful time for us, your updates, and conferences have been a God send. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.

It does not surprise us that the discernment part of your ministry is under attack from the enemy. We will pray for protection, as well as times of strengthening and refreshing for you, as you do the Lord's will.

We look so forward to seeing you in Clarinda, Iowa, this summer, at a Calvary Chapel for a conference. We just were in Ceder Rapids, Ia, to see Jacob Prasch for the first time in person, and it was a time of confirmation in many areas. As of now, we are still without a home church, and the Lord is feeding, protecting, and warning us through ministries like yours. We are trying to stay in fellowship regularly, with Christians who are aware of the times we are in, and share our passions and convictions. We honestly feel that discernment is a ministry the Lord raised up in us about 3 1/2 years ago, and the burdon to share what we have learned is getting stronger by the month! If there was a way we could help you, it would be an honor.

Anyway, I'd like to leave you with this verse.

"Let us not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Gal. 6:9

God is doing amazing things through you. Thank you for your faithful resposes to questions, for your heart for reaching the lost, and equipping others in the church with good, solid, biblical material for research and discernment. We appreciate you VERY much.

Until He returns,
Jaydeen and Barry

Dear Brother Oakland-
Thank you for your update and for all of your UTT emails, articles and stories. You are an incredible encouragement for the Body of Christ that values Biblical discernment and truth. Keep up the excellent work. I am praying for your physical, mental and spirtual strength, health and power through the precious Holy Spirit. May he strengthen, empower and build you up and your ministry, and send more workers into the harvest field of your ministry. I appreciate your ministry and emails very much and will pray for its growth daily as well as for you dear brother. You are very right--very few so called Christians value discernment and truth --you are precious in his sight. Run the race and fight the good fight until His return. Thank you again for your ministry.
Your Sister in Jesus Christ,
Barbara

Roger, just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how appreciated you are and how much you mean too many of us. Your work is so important and actually uplifting as we approach these last days. Thank you for such truths and discernment on these important matters.  It is very evident that what you ascribe to is coming to be. Roger, thanks again.

God bless you as I know your road is a very difficult one.

Burt.

Dear Roger,

Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus,

I just thought I would send you this by way of encouragement.

I recently lost all my VHS video to heat pollution, from summer last year. Had this not been the case, I would not have had to replace same with DVD's and I would not have found this excellent DVD at Mark Haville's website last week.
We sat open mouthed and amazed at how far apostasy has crept into the modern church. We would say a hearty 'Praise the L-rd' brother for the courage to stand and declare the Word of the Lord, where there is indeed that of which the Word tells us and that is ' famine of hearing the word of the Lord'.

I was graciously delivered from the Word Faith and Toronto deception back in the 90's and my testimony is on the Internet to the praise and glory of our blessed Redeemer.

Our prayers continue for you brother.

Much love in Jesus

To Roger Oakland and staff:

I just wanted to drop a line to Roger Oakland for being able to visit and present to the saints at Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes' 2007 Prophesy Conference. Also, thanks to you and your entire staff for being diligent and steadfast in the Word of God, and presenting the facts so that we, the saints may be able to have an answer, as well as be equipped to minister to the people the way God would have us to do, with the Word, the Bible, as our complete and authoritative basis for all answers, profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Praise God for His wonderful works toward the children of men.

In Christ Jesus, our King,
Bruce, New York

Thank you for your ministry using discernment and prophecy. I get very angry because of what is happening in "the church" today. So many are deceived and are looking for "signs and wonders". Bible-teaching churches are dwindling as many who used to be such are buying into "purpose driven", comtemplative, etc. I know many friends who have no where to go.

We are holding a study in our home using Precept materials to teach people how to study inductively so they won't be blowing in the wind and falling for any doctrine that comes around.

We must stay in the Word and not follow the teachings of man. (or woman)

Look up.........be watchful.........our redemption is drawing nigh ! I know the Lord Jesus is on the edge of His seat...........looking back at the Father and saying, "Now, Dad, is it almost time to go now???"

Maranatha !!! Come, Lord Jesus !

Mary Ann

Dear Roger,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord in the calling He has placed in your heart. I have been edified by your stance for the truth in exposing the deception rampant in the church today & have enjoyed the many commentaries you post. I hope someday to be able to meet you at conference. You are lifted to the Throne of Grace in my prayers that the Lord will continue to give you wisdom and boldness in your ministry.

Jim

Dear Roger,

I don't know if you remember my emails from the past, but you sent some books and DVDs to me a few months back. I just wanted to share with you how they impacted my faith. As a Catholic, I was pretty much devastated to think that what I was taught might not be Biblical truth. Over the months through listening to your program, along with other programs, and
reading your material, I have come to the conclusion that I can't stay in Roman Catholicism and maintain Biblical honesty. I'm now in a bible believing church. The journey for my wife isn't quite finished yet and would like to ask you to pray for her that she can see the truth.

Eternally thankful for Him,

Dear Roger,

Keep up the good work. Be encouraged!

I too am a former Roman Catholic.

I'll write more later but I must go to a meeting now and don't have much time to write to you.

I just didn't want to let this go without saying "Never stop doing what you are doing."

There is a fierce battle taking place right now in the true church. It is clear to me that
"Even the elect could be deceived,"

Roger,

Thank you for your ministry and the warnings that you sound about the Roman Catholic church.  I admire your courage and perseverance.

I was raised in a strict Catholic home.  My parents were divorced, but my mother, who had been raised in a boarding school in Honolulu, was very devout.  I never could quite understand the whole infalliblilty of a man called a Pope, when every other pope could make opposite changes in practices and beliefs. It seemed inconsistent.  But I was taught that the RCC was the only 'true' church.  As a young woman I broke away and married an Episcopalian.  That caused such an uproar, as you can imagine.

My mother in law had begun to attend Bible Study Fellowship.  A year later, after the birth of our first child, I joined her.  In the study of Paul I realized that Jesus died for me and everything that I had been taught as a child finally found its place with the central truth that He died for ME!!!  I was a new believer and have never looked back.

For the last twenty six years I have been bold in stating that I do not believe that one can be both a catholic and a Christian.  The two are not synonymous.  They are at odds with one another.  Other Christians, the "loving" ones, would disagree with me and point out that catholics believe that Jesus is God too. But I stood firmly and felt supported when I would hear a sermon by a strong evangelical pastor say the same thing that I had been stating for years.

Your commentaries on the Eucharist are timely.  I appreciate the simplicity of your messages because it doesn't take too much time to read them and understand them. I hope Catholics will read your warnings.  And I pray that Evangelicals will stop holding hands with the doctrine of demons and return to the pure truth of God's Word.

The bottom line, however, is that all of this has been foretold.  What we are witnessing are the profound preparations for the glorious return of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
Now we must sound the alarm and pray that many more turn to Him before it is too late.

Keep writing. Thank you again.  And may God bless you mightily for your obedience!

I have been looking into the Emerging Church for quite some times as I definitely saw it to be a link between the Evangelical Church and the Roman Catholic Church. I recently listened to your message on the subject and I wanted to say thank you for speaking boldly about it. Unfortunately, I have seen this trend to be a cancer in many Churches near my own home and the people involved in it do not share our enthusiasm towards the Word of God (And It's 100% reliability)

Anyways, this is just a small note to encourage you to keep up the good work and do not let the enemy discourage you, our God is wonderful and in control! Our ministry was under fire from many Christian Churches a few years back because of our stand against the Charismatic deception which came from Toronto and other places but Jesus kept our faith and our relationship with the Savior so very strong. You may, no doubt, receive hate mail from time to time but just know that your ministry is helping so many of us to "understand the times"... Pardon the pun!

God bless.

(TFC Ministries)

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus! I have just read the commentary you sent via recent email and I want to encourage you!! I appreciate your concern for those who are lost, who have not placed their faith in Christ alone. Let us trust in the Lord to bring to faith those whom He wishes through the means He determines, of which you and I are both a part. He may be calling others unto Himself through your ministry, so let that add joy to your soul! Please know that I forward your emails frequently and though not all recipients agree with your assessment of current trends, I believe that the Lord will use the information you are providing for His glory. I have been taught by Scripture, as well as faithful pastors, that deception will occur in the world until the Lord returns to usher in His Kingdom. I know it is difficult to discern and know without a doubt what is happening in our world today. We cannot make sense of these things, as God does. However, we must continue to practice the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints--to believe and trust only in Jesus, not in our own understanding. I praise God through Christ that Proverbs 3:5-6 was the second text I memorized as a Christian. Since that time, I have grown in the joy and peace of the Lord, and I now rest in the work of Christ alone for my salvation and daily life.

Because I attend a reformed church and listen primarily to reformed pastors, many Christian brothers and sisters believe what you are writing about occurred in 70 A.D., when the nation of Israel was judged for their unbelief. Yet, when I listen to or read reports such as yours, I do not doubt that satan is still operating in this world and deceiving many. As such, another judgment of the Lord may be coming upon "the church" as it is known today. What we are witnessing may or may not usher in the second coming and the resurrection of the dead. I do not know. What I do know with certainty is that Proverbs 3:5-6 provides reassurance in these circumstances. All I am and ever will be is found in trusting Christ alone. His bride, the Church, has been saved and will continue in faithfulness. He will bring to pass that which He determined before the foundations of the earth. Until then, by His grace, may you and I remain faithful to His calling. You are in my thoughts and prayers for grace and peace.

Your sister in Christ, elaine

I follow your program quite regularly and find it to be concise and well thought out. You are very careful to not be offensive yet to measure all things by the scripture, something which is becoming increasingly difficult as the Apostasia deepens. I am certain that a terrific "swing to the right" currently gaining steam through this election year will continue to grow and, like Startrek's "Borg", to assimilate all in its path, all that is "positive", and speaks of the sunlit uplands of tomorrow. Protestantism WILL defect - the daughter will return to her mother, but the elect will not defect, for "no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand", Jesus said.

God has given you the place you hold, for the time He has determined. Hold the light as long as you can brother,
for the Light is holding you

Yours in Him-
Steve

The article describing "another Jesus" is very timely. I have sent a copy to my young adult children in hopes that they will be more discerning of the times in which we live.

Indeed, we are living in the last of the "last days!" The deception will only continue to increase. May we as true believers in Y'shua be faithful and diligent. Thank you for standing for righteousness.

Sincerely,

Jana

Dear Roger,

Thank you for all the work and research you do to bring us these kinds of articles. Without you most of us would not have ways of finding out how widespread the delusion is becoming. It seems to me it's coming pretty fast! I'm almost 84 and have never seen times like those we are seeing today, politics, hatred between our government parties, the imagination of mankind becoming more evil, etc. I'm SO glad our Father has it all planned out and His plans are perfect. His prophecies are sure and true and will come to pass. I trust Him.

Again, thank you and God bless you!
Ida

"What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and
to walk humbly with your God."
Micah 6:8 (NIV)

I just wanted you to know what an impact your ministry has made on peoples lives. I grew up on Bible prophecy in the Seventh-Day Adventist church and although I am no longer an SDA ( I go to Calvary), the teachings regarding the Roman Catholic church in Daniel and Revelation are very similar to what I have heard from both you and Dave Hunt. One of my best friend's husbands was catholic. I gave him Dave Hunt's book 'A Woman Rides The Beast' and encouraged him to listen to your broadcastings. He did a complete turn around and became totally devoted to the Lord and so angry with the catholic church for deceiving so many. He's been calling all his catholic friends and relatives and telling them the truth. Also through discussions at work, many have begun listening to your broadcast and reading your website with encouraging results. I know the Holy Spirit is blessing your ministry and I thank Him for it.

Thank you so much for all you do.

Karen Lawson

Roger,

I just wanted say I've heard your short radio spots for about a month now. I wanted say thanks for standing up and saying the things that any Christian should be screaming. I saw my church start down the path that you described. I couldn't figure out why I was bother by the things I was seeing. You hit it on the head. Stay with it and know that there are Christians out here praying for you and your ministry.

Rob

Thank you for your timely and truthful insights and your defense of the Word of God! I was 'blasted with both barrels' when I first checked into Rick Warren and his "Purpose-Drivel" and subsequently rejected anything he had to say. While he may make the occasional good--and even biblical--point, his deceitful use of Scripture sets a bad precedent whose example will lead to the deception and enslavement of many who lack discernment and are simply too lazy to "study to show themselves approved". The Emergent heresy is dragging the churches down even further, and there is hardly a church that is effected any more, hence, few churches to even attend if one's desire is for the pure milk of the Word. I thank God for men and ministries such as you and yours for your stand on behalf of our Lord, His Word, and for bringing important truth to those of us who still have ears to hear, and for those whom God would lead to hear what you say.
God bless you,
Linda

God Bless you Brother for taking the time to correspond with me, as I am truly grateful for your input...I am used to defending Biblical principles (doctrines) against Rcc apologists, but the term "Civil War had eluded me...! You have hit upon something that I and others have come across as well...those who profess Christ, but are completely blind and oblivious to this "worldwide deception" and in many cases "hostile" to the truth being presented to them...!

There are only a few of us it seems who are aware or who care of what is going on in these "end times"...however it is thru people like yourself that the light is being shown amidst this terrible darkness...

I try and keep up on all the news on the RCC, Marian "messages", and the emerging church/Warrenism happening all around the world as I believe they are all "tied together"...

Do not ever feel "unappreciated" Brother...! You are a definite asset to those of us who value the "truth above all else"...

Keep up the Lord's work
God Bless
Tyler

Dear Roger,

My parents are under the deception that is taking place and our relationship is strained at best. I was raised a Southern Baptist and my belief in God has never changed. I search the Word and pray diligently when my parents show me “new” things and try to get me to read books that express this “new spirituality”. I have two teenage daughters that I am trying so hard to make sure they know the purity of the Gospel and discern the deceptive spirit in the world. The battle with my parents is difficult and I pray daily that God will open their eyes to this deception. I just finished reading your book, Another Jesus? and am encouraged when I see the lies exposed for what they are. I have three more of your books that I am going to read and look forward to your insight. My parents have embraced the Charismatic, which to me is the “experience based” Christianity in the Protestant arena. They have denounced their Baptist background and are enthralled by the likes of Benny Hinn & Company, i.e. Charles Capps, Kenneth Hagin, Perry Stone…. Thanks so much for letting God work through you to expose the wiles of Satan. It is such a comfort to know that my response to all of this is from God and that He is protecting me, my heart and my mind. I pray for you and your ministry that God will keep you in His care and give you the strength and courage to remain steadfast in His work.

Your Sister in Jesus Christ,

Jeannette

Dear Mr. Oakland,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your ministry. Prior to two years ago, I had no idea what was going on in the churches although I knew some things were not right. Thanks to you and ministries like yours I now know what is really going on. I use your website and quote your things many times to my friends and family, though some refuse to listen others are starting to see things as well. Thanks for all the hard work that you and your staff do to keep us informed. It is encouraging to hear that others are waking up in the church. I know you are under constant attack from the enemy for trying to expose him. You are in my prayers and keep up the good work.

Sincerely,

Melissa

Mr.. Oakland,

We were blessed to attend your speaking engagements in Meade, KS this spring. We purchased several of your DVDs and books. I wanted to let you know that we have been blessed by these and the work that you do. I am continually challenged by the information on the web site and want you to know that we are praying for your ministry. Please be encouraged that your efforts are blessing and causing growth in others. Thank you for all you do and for obeying the Lord's will in your life in this matter.

Sincerely,
Marshan Padgett
EMC secretary

I am currently attending a church that is currently in the process of going purpose driven, and Ive tried to warn the pastor giving him various materials, but for the most part they do not seem to want to listen. Should I get out? wait to see if we can institute change, as their are a lot of people over 40 here that are starved for the old hymns and choruses and worship. The pastor is a good preacher for the most part. I just don't know what to do or where to go, as most churches are forcing this horrible contemporary music on the people. Do I try to form a home group? find an established one. Our whole generation has been high jacked and disenfranchised. It's so hard to speak the truth in love even to one's own family. Went to Veteran Camp recently and it was awful, and the season saints that should be taking a stand aren't. Please give me some words of encouragement if you can. Is this whole purpose driven thing going to burst and be shown for what it is?
or is the church as we know it finished?

Hi Roger,

I'm a 20 year old from Las Cruces, New Mexico. I attend Calvary Chapel of Las Cruces. I just read your article, "Is Apostasy Possible?" Roger, I wanted to thank you for doing what you're doing. I agree with you 110% on the idea of apostasy in our day. I visit your website daily to check the recent headlines. Keep doing what you're doing, God's people (those who truly belong to Him) are being blessed through what God is doing through you. We're living in the days of Jeremiah and Noah. The church in America is just like God's people in Jeremiah's day. They thought everything was fine and dandy, when in all reality they were spiritually dead. I can't help but think of the church at Laodicea (Rev 3). Jesus said, "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' - and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked..." That's what America is coming to, thanks be to God for the soon return of Jesus. Keep it up brother!!!

Redeemed by the Precious Blood of the Lamb,
Justin Trevino
Psalm 16:11

Dear Brother,

As I've been reading your latest News Alert on the Eucharistic "Jesus" Evangelization program, I was reminded of two things. My neighbor (a devout Roman Catholic) whom I walk with daily mentioned last fall her setting aside time on Fridays to attend a special time of adoration at her church. I'm quite sure she was speaking of a Eucharistic adoration time. Second, the Catholic church she attends has been involved in a major building project this past year. It wouldn't surprise me if they are planning ahead for the influx of confused sheep due to their "rekindled" focus on Yahshua's presence within that wafer (of which they are deceived by the adversary).

I've been born of the Spirit nearly thirty years now coming out of Catholicism. So, I am well aware of the doctrines of demons within that denomination. Much of my family still remains in the grips of that spirit of religion. Praise His Name that when He redeemed me by the Blood of the Lamb He told me to "come out". I obeyed and have been delivered from that power of darkness. Truly all done by His grace. So, you might now understand more clearly why He has allowed me the privilege to walk daily with this friend. She is a very special lady and I BELIEVE He is calling her (my neighbor Mary). Please remember to pray for her (Mary) and my family as the Holy Spirit should remind you.

Continue to stand at the gates as a watchman for the Body of Messiah sounding the alarrm as you see the enemy approaching the camp. You have been called by the Most High..... for He loves His sheep.

Edmond, Oklahoma

Dear Brother Oakland,

I truly enjoy all your information, and I would like to have a booklet detailing all you saw and heard in Rome. My husband, Ed, and myself, Mary Anne Kujawa were Catholics for 40 and 35 years respectively. We followed all the rules, never missed confession, holy days, sunday mass(acre) - we were truly more catholic than the pope! The Holy Spirit got hold of us in l973; we were saved as well as our 5 children who were, at that time, ages 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. When I began to study the Bible, and learn how deceived we really were, I was angry, and truly hated the catholic church. Actually, I still do, as I hate any religious system that teaches salvation by works, etc. It took me a long time to remember that I should not dislike catholics, for we were once there. Thank you for all you are doing to expose this catholic "evangelization" and pulling in so many people who don't know what the Bible teaches. Your web site is just wonderful, Brother Oakland. I really appreciate all you are doing for us, the "Little Flock" that desires to love and follow Jesus so closely.

Gratefully yours, Mary Anne Kujawa

Greetings in Jesus

My name is Simon and I reside in South Africa. I have been leaning much from your website and I would very much appreciate access to a booklet that can be handed out as a witnessing tool to point people to the Jesus of the Bible. As you mentioned in you last newsletter.
Could I suggest if you could compile such a booklet that you make it a downloadable .PDF file so that I could not only print it out for friends and family but send it out via e-mail to friends and family far away.
No one believes me that the papal institution is the very antichrist and I am told that I am intolerant and should not "speak ill of God's anointed" But the Reformers would turn around in their graves in we do not take a stand and defend the faith with our very lives if need be.

I would be definitely be interested in a booklet that points out the difference between the Jesus of the Bible and the Jesus of the Roman Catholic church. And would for certain use it as a tool in witnessing to people. The deception of the antichrist is indeed very very subtle and I see even my loved ones deceived by the false Christianity of the papists.

Yours in Jesus.
Simon

Dear Roger,

I'm just finishing your book on New Wine and the Babylonian Vine. I'm just blown away in what I'm reading. I'm just turning 69, and have been a Christian for only 5 years, but I have a hunger to read and learn so I can share and do my part to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm simultaneously studying about creation and am a fan of Ken Ham's Answers in Genesis, and the ICR Institute. Your book has been a blessing to me in particular about Catholicism. I also have been troubled by the TNN broadcasts at times, and also don't agree with Benny Hinn's viewpoints. My first church I went to after giving my heart to Jesus was an independent charismatic church, and they were trying to convince me that if I didn't speak in tongues, I wasn't baptised in the Holy Spirit. I'm also an avid listener of CSN radio, which is where I heard you and bought your book, and the Lord brought me a teaching about tongues and how some churches are insisting that it must be a gift to be received. Even as a young Christian I could read scripture and see that is not the case. I also have attended Calvary Chapel Camano Island, Washington (state) and Pastor Wayne Taylor's Calvary Fellowship in Mountlake Terrace (just outside Seattle). I'm presently attending Northwest Church in Shoreline (north Seattle) mainly to minister to my oldest son I moved up her from LA, and I have him planted in that church. He lives in a care facility for advanced Aids just a mile from Northwest Church. If you ever get up here to the Seattle area I must see your speaking engagement.
God Bless, you are a gifted writer and excellent researcher.

Roger,

it is amazing that you have been blessed with the vision of taking the Gospel to the furthest corners of the world. I love your e-mails -it makes me realize what tremendous opportunities there still are to take the life-saving message to the spiritual hungry - it seems our North Americans, have sat at the "Banquet Table" too long, & are no longer congnitive of the tremendous "spiritual anorexia" they are suffering from - Keep on doing the work you have been called to do - remember, there are many of us who are praying for you and your ministry.

Marie

Thank you so much for your insightful and bold words this past weekend at the conference. I want to encourage you to continue speaking the truth. I am sure it is tougher than I can imagine to be in your position…but you are truly doing God’s work.

I plan to pass around our DVDs of the conference…your messages are well documented and shocking to those who are being deceived.

Also, just a quick not that I listened to about half of the McLaren interview and had to shut it off…it was making me feel ill. But I need the continual reminder that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

May God bless you in your daily walk with Him.

Only by the cross,

Karen

Dear Roger,

I just wanted to thank you for your teaching today at the conference in Iowa, I really enjoyed it. You delivered what you had to say very clearly, and very easy to follow.

It is refreshing, in a world so seeking experiences, to hear my thoughts and fears coming from someone else. Thank you.

There are very few Bible teaching Pastor/teachers left, I treasure every single one that I have heard.

Best Wishes and thanks again

Jane

I was getting very excited and involved in 'Contemplative Prayer'. Started having a bad gut feeling and crying all the time, because I thought I had found the way to knowing God and yet couldn't do it----Thank God! I came across your web site in the middle of all this other stuff. Thank-you for being there-Jacque'

Dear Roger,
My name is Nathan, and I'm from South Carolina. I
just wanted to tell you that your ministry has been
a valuable source to me. I am glad that there are
brothers and sisters who are not afraid of exposing
deception. May the Lord continue to bless your
ministry as you continue to proclaim the gospel around
the world.

I would like to say what an encouragement the cd wiles of the devil has been to me this morning, It brought me up sharp because I had reached the cynical stage. With His Grace and help I will be able to deal with things better now.
I Pray that you will continue to stand and when you have done all to stand ( Eph 6)
Bless you, empower you and keep you,

                    Thanks again

Dearest Brother Roger,

Thanks again for this weeks encouraging broadcasts. I may have mentioned to you before that I usually listen to all of them in one sitting on-line, while I follow along with your transcript.

When you related your first mission trip, I also had tears in my eyes. Over the years I've read and re-read to my family the stories of Hudson Taylor, Brother Andrew, Corrie ten Boom, Bruce Olsen (Bruchko), and others... and I am still struck with awe that I am also allowed to be a missionary in the Lord's field.

In fact, our present mission seems to my wife, Lisa, and I somewhat two-fold. Not only are we missionaries to the Yup'ik Eskimo of western Alaska, but as a Calvary Chapel pastor that is now ministering within the Evangelical Covenant Church, we feel that God has called us as missionaries to this denomination to share some of God's Biblical insights that they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to see or hear.

One of the ways we hope the Lord is allowing these Biblical insights and perspectives to come forth is by promoting some of those awesome ministries in this part of the world, such as: Understand the Times Int., Koinonia House, The Word for Today, etc.

Therefore, we are blessed beyond words for your ministry, and its availability on the Internet, most especially.

Although we have links to Understand the Times on the Resources Page and Links Page of our website, we are planning to launch a "Prophecy Page" very soon that will actively promote the resources from Understand the Times as well as other end-times and discernment ministries that are in keeping with the sound Biblical doctrines you teach on the program.

Lisa and I pray that you are encouraged that your ministry does reach one of the most remote parts of the planet, Scammon Bay, Alaska. We are honored to be, even in the smallest way, a part of such a far-reaching and needed ministry, as Understand the Times is.

Blessings in Jesus' name,

Dear Brother Roger Oakland,
Greetings in Jesus' Name!

I have been receiving your weekly updates, and I have already bought your DVD "Messages from Heaven". I can't express how much I appreciate your messages, articles and your stand for the truth. I thank the Lord for your ministry.

Being a pastor in a Catholic country - Portugal - I fully agree that the Roman Catholic Church is growing in its deceitfulness, as I see how idolatrous my people is becoming. Fatima is growing in its power to deceive and seduce. Unfortunately, there are evangelical pastors who believe we should dialogue with Catholics and even cooperate with them.

I wish there could be a way to spread your messages in Portugal, using our language. May be the Lord will guide you someday in that direction.

I'll continue praying for you and your ministry, and I am available for any cooperation in order to help my people see the truth.
Sincerely yours, in Jesus,
Normando - Portugal

Dear Roger,

I want to thank you for your ministry. It has been a blessing to me and my friends. I look forward to the chance to tell you in person.

I know there will be a crowd who will be anxious to say thanks. I won't mind waiting in line, because I'll have an eternity to reach the head of the line. Of course, heaven isn't constrained by three dimensions, so the multitude may be able to express their gratitude in a twinkling of an eye.

Thanks!

God bless, always and all ways.
