Dear Roger, |

Hi

|
Hi
Roger, |
|||||||

Dear Bro. Oakland: Thank you for your ministry. It was only today that I came across it on the web for the first time. I listened to one your messages. I believe that you have a strategic role to play at this time in the history of the church and of the world. Having read Dave Hunt's book, A Woman Rides the Beast, I understand exactly what you are dealing with. I am truely appalled at the Protestant march along the Roman road. How sad that the martyrs should appear to have died in vain!!!!!!! Even more tragic is the thought that Christ died in vain because we can save ourselves by our own efforts!!!!!!! Truely the end is near. I am glad for men like you who keep us abreast of the times that we may know what to do. I totally reject the trends of the emerging church. I want to be fully alligned with the true church no matter what it costs. I intend by the grace of God to stand for biblical inerrancy and salvation by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work alone. I intend to sensitize our people here about what is going on. In fact, I just sent emails of your article on the Emerging Church to thirty-eight people including our leaders. I intend to send more from time to time to sensitize and warn them. I am a pastor/church and leader of my denomination as well as acting sub-regional leader of the Evangelical Church of the W. I. My wife and I returned to serve in the pastorate in 1983 after graduating from Columbia Bible College in South Carolina. We have one grown son who is in ministry in Colorado and one grandson. . I intend to keep in touch with you because I want to learn more from you and your organization. Yours in Christ Alfred |

Dear Roger, I have just recently discovered your website through your link to Moriel Ministries. Articles which you have written have been a great encouragement to me personally - especially those concerning the escalation in power of the R.C. Church, and the numerous heresies which they promote, also the way in which Rick Warren has taken over so many churches in this land.. Here in the Forest of Dean; Gloucestershire;England, through "Churches Together" the R.C's have succeeded in involving almost every church in the Ecumenical Movement; it seems that the majority of Leaders and members are oblivious to the significance of such a step, and refuse even to discuss what it involves. I confess that I was disillusioned regarding the situation - I was under the impression that if I explained the error of the involvement, to those in leadership positions in the church which I attended,- that it would make a difference, and they would withdraw from the union; I was greatly surprised by the disdain with which I was treated. A few here trust and pray that God will open doors of fellowship and witness in the area - to His Glory. I pray also that God will refresh you, and revive you at this time, and encourage you in your ministry. Jean |

Dear Rogar, We recommend your ministry to everyone who will listen. So many answers to questions, sound warnings, and good biblical discernment have come through what you are doing. In a confusing and frustrating and somewhat painful time for us, your updates, and conferences have been a God send. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. It does not surprise us that the discernment part of your ministry is under attack from the enemy. We will pray for protection, as well as times of strengthening and refreshing for you, as you do the Lord's will. We look so forward to seeing you in Clarinda, Iowa, this summer, at a Calvary Chapel for a conference. We just were in Ceder Rapids, Ia, to see Jacob Prasch for the first time in person, and it was a time of confirmation in many areas. As of now, we are still without a home church, and the Lord is feeding, protecting, and warning us through ministries like yours. We are trying to stay in fellowship regularly, with Christians who are aware of the times we are in, and share our passions and convictions. We honestly feel that discernment is a ministry the Lord raised up in us about 3 1/2 years ago, and the burdon to share what we have learned is getting stronger by the month! If there was a way we could help you, it would be an honor. Anyway, I'd like to leave you with this verse. "Let us not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Gal. 6:9 God is doing amazing things through you. Thank you for your faithful resposes to questions, for your heart for reaching the lost, and equipping others in the church with good, solid, biblical material for research and discernment. We appreciate you VERY much. Until He returns, Jaydeen and Barry |

Dear Brother Oakland- Thank you for your update and for all of your UTT emails, articles and stories. You are an incredible encouragement for the Body of Christ that values Biblical discernment and truth. Keep up the excellent work. I am praying for your physical, mental and spirtual strength, health and power through the precious Holy Spirit. May he strengthen, empower and build you up and your ministry, and send more workers into the harvest field of your ministry. I appreciate your ministry and emails very much and will pray for its growth daily as well as for you dear brother. You are very right--very few so called Christians value discernment and truth --you are precious in his sight. Run the race and fight the good fight until His return. Thank you again for your ministry. Your Sister in Jesus Christ, Barbara |

Roger, just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how appreciated you are and how much you mean too many of us. Your work is so important and actually uplifting as we approach these last days. Thank you for such truths and discernment on these important matters. It is very evident that what you ascribe to is coming to be. Roger, thanks again. God bless you as I know your road is a very difficult one. Burt. |

Dear Roger, Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus, I just thought I would send you this by way of encouragement. I recently lost all my VHS video to heat pollution, from summer last year. Had this not been the case, I would not have had to replace same with DVD's and I would not have found this excellent DVD at Mark Haville's website last week. We sat open mouthed and amazed at how far apostasy has crept into the modern church. We would say a hearty 'Praise the L-rd' brother for the courage to stand and declare the Word of the Lord, where there is indeed that of which the Word tells us and that is ' famine of hearing the word of the Lord'. I was graciously delivered from the Word Faith and Toronto deception back in the 90's and my testimony is on the Internet to the praise and glory of our blessed Redeemer. Our prayers continue for you brother. Much love in Jesus Birmingham U.K. |

Thank
you for your ministry using discernment and
prophecy. I get very angry because of what is
happening in "the church" today. So many are
deceived and are looking for "signs and wonders".
Bible-teaching churches are dwindling as many who
used to be such are buying into "purpose driven",
comtemplative, etc. I know many friends who have no
where to go. |

Dear Roger, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord in the calling He has placed in your heart. I have been edified by your stance for the truth in exposing the deception rampant in the church today & have enjoyed the many commentaries you post. I hope someday to be able to meet you at conference. You are lifted to the Throne of Grace in my prayers that the Lord will continue to give you wisdom and boldness in your ministry. I have been looking into
the Emerging Church for quite some times as I
definitely saw it to be a link between the
Evangelical Church and the Roman Catholic Church. I
recently listened to your message on the subject and
I wanted to say thank you for speaking boldly about
it. Unfortunately, I have seen this trend to be a
cancer in many Churches near my own home and the
people involved in it do not share our enthusiasm
towards the Word of God (And It's 100% reliability)
Anyways, this is just a small note to encourage you to keep up the good work and do not let the enemy discourage you, our God is wonderful and in control! Our ministry was under fire from many Christian Churches a few years back because of our stand against the Charismatic deception which came from Toronto and other places but Jesus kept our faith and our relationship with the Savior so very strong. You may, no doubt, receive hate mail from time to time but just know that your ministry is helping so many of us to "understand the times"... Pardon the pun! God bless. Greetings in the name of
our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus! I have just read
the commentary you sent via recent email and I want
to encourage you!! I appreciate your concern for
those who are lost, who have not placed their faith
in Christ alone. Let us trust in the Lord to bring
to faith those whom He wishes through the means He
determines, of which you and I are both a part. He
may be calling others unto Himself through your
ministry, so let that add joy to your soul! Please
know that I forward your emails frequently and
though not all recipients agree with your assessment
of current trends, I believe that the Lord will use
the information you are providing for His glory. I
have been taught by Scripture, as well as faithful
pastors, that deception will occur in the world
until the Lord returns to usher in His Kingdom. I
know it is difficult to discern and know without a
doubt what is happening in our world today. We
cannot make sense of these things, as God does.
However, we must continue to practice the faith
which was once for all delivered to the saints--to
believe and trust only in Jesus, not in our own
understanding. I praise God through Christ that
Proverbs 3:5-6 was the second text I memorized as a
Christian. Since that time, I have grown in the joy
and peace of the Lord, and I now rest in the work of
Christ alone for my salvation and daily life. Because I attend a reformed church and listen primarily to reformed pastors, many Christian brothers and sisters believe what you are writing about occurred in 70 A.D., when the nation of Israel was judged for their unbelief. Yet, when I listen to or read reports such as yours, I do not doubt that satan is still operating in this world and deceiving many. As such, another judgment of the Lord may be coming upon "the church" as it is known today. What we are witnessing may or may not usher in the second coming and the resurrection of the dead. I do not know. What I do know with certainty is that Proverbs 3:5-6 provides reassurance in these circumstances. All I am and ever will be is found in trusting Christ alone. His bride, the Church, has been saved and will continue in faithfulness. He will bring to pass that which He determined before the foundations of the earth. Until then, by His grace, may you and I remain faithful to His calling. You are in my thoughts and prayers for grace and peace. Your sister in Christ, elaine |

I follow your program
quite regularly and find it to be concise and well
thought out. You are very careful to not be
offensive yet to measure all things by the
scripture, something which is becoming increasingly
difficult as the Apostasia deepens. I am certain
that a terrific "swing to the right" currently
gaining steam through this election year will
continue to grow and, like Startrek's "Borg", to
assimilate all in its path, all that is "positive",
and speaks of the sunlit uplands of tomorrow.
Protestantism WILL defect - the daughter will return
to her mother, but the elect will not defect, for
"no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's
hand", Jesus said. God has given you the place you hold, for the time He has determined. Hold the light as long as you can brother, for the Light is holding you Yours in Him- Steve |

The article describing
"another Jesus" is very timely. I have sent a copy
to my young adult children in hopes that they will
be more discerning of the times in which we live. Indeed, we are living in the last of the "last days!" The deception will only continue to increase. May we as true believers in Y'shua be faithful and diligent. Thank you for standing for righteousness. Sincerely, Jana |

Dear Roger, Thank you for all the work and research you do to bring us these kinds of articles. Without you most of us would not have ways of finding out how widespread the delusion is becoming. It seems to me it's coming pretty fast! I'm almost 84 and have never seen times like those we are seeing today, politics, hatred between our government parties, the imagination of mankind becoming more evil, etc. I'm SO glad our Father has it all planned out and His plans are perfect. His prophecies are sure and true and will come to pass. I trust Him. Again, thank you and God bless you! Ida "What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8 (NIV) |

I just
wanted you to know what an impact your ministry has
made on peoples lives. I grew up on Bible prophecy
in the Seventh-Day Adventist church and although I
am no longer an SDA ( I go to Calvary), the
teachings regarding the Roman Catholic church in
Daniel and Revelation are very similar to what I
have heard from both you and Dave Hunt. One of my
best friend's husbands was catholic. I gave him Dave
Hunt's book 'A Woman Rides The Beast' and encouraged
him to listen to your broadcastings. He did a
complete turn around and became totally devoted to
the Lord and so angry with the catholic church for
deceiving so many. He's been calling all his
catholic friends and relatives and telling them the
truth. Also through discussions at work, many have
begun listening to your broadcast and reading your
website with encouraging results. I know the Holy
Spirit is blessing your ministry and I thank Him for
it. |

Roger, |

Thank
you for your timely and truthful insights and your
defense of the Word of God! I was 'blasted with both
barrels' when I first checked into Rick Warren and
his "Purpose-Drivel" and subsequently rejected
anything he had to say. While he may make the
occasional good--and even biblical--point, his
deceitful use of Scripture sets a bad precedent
whose example will lead to the deception and
enslavement of many who lack discernment and are
simply too lazy to "study to show themselves
approved". The Emergent heresy is dragging the
churches down even further, and there is hardly a
church that is effected any more, hence, few
churches to even attend if one's desire is for the
pure milk of the Word. I thank God for men and
ministries such as you and yours for your stand on
behalf of our Lord, His Word, and for bringing
important truth to those of us who still have ears
to hear, and for those whom God would lead to hear
what you say. |

God
Bless you Brother for taking the time to correspond
with me, as I am truly grateful for your input...I
am used to defending Biblical principles (doctrines)
against Rcc apologists, but the term "Civil War had
eluded me...! You have hit upon something that I and
others have come across as well...those who profess
Christ, but are completely blind and oblivious to
this "worldwide deception" and in many cases
"hostile" to the truth being presented to them...! |

Mr.. Oakland, We were blessed to attend your speaking engagements in Meade, KS this spring. We purchased several of your DVDs and books. I wanted to let you know that we have been blessed by these and the work that you do. I am continually challenged by the information on the web site and want you to know that we are praying for your ministry. Please be encouraged that your efforts are blessing and causing growth in others. Thank you for all you do and for obeying the Lord's will in your life in this matter. I am
currently attending a church that is currently in
the process of going purpose driven, and Ive tried
to warn the pastor giving him various materials, but
for the most part they do not seem to want to
listen. Should I get out? wait to see if we can
institute change, as their are a lot of people over
40 here that are starved for the old hymns and
choruses and worship. The pastor is a good preacher
for the most part. I just don't know what to do or
where to go, as most churches are forcing this
horrible contemporary music on the people. Do I try
to form a home group? find an established one. Our
whole generation has been high jacked and
disenfranchised. It's so hard to speak the truth in
love even to one's own family. Went to Veteran Camp
recently and it was awful, and the season saints
that should be taking a stand aren't. Please give me
some words of encouragement if you can. Is this
whole purpose driven thing going to burst and be
shown for what it is? |

Hi Roger, I'm a 20 year old from Las Cruces, New Mexico. I attend Calvary Chapel of Las Cruces. I just read your article, "Is Apostasy Possible?" Roger, I wanted to thank you for doing what you're doing. I agree with you 110% on the idea of apostasy in our day. I visit your website daily to check the recent headlines. Keep doing what you're doing, God's people (those who truly belong to Him) are being blessed through what God is doing through you. We're living in the days of Jeremiah and Noah. The church in America is just like God's people in Jeremiah's day. They thought everything was fine and dandy, when in all reality they were spiritually dead. I can't help but think of the church at Laodicea (Rev 3). Jesus said, "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' - and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked..." That's what America is coming to, thanks be to God for the soon return of Jesus. Keep it up brother!!! Redeemed by the Precious Blood of the Lamb, Justin Trevino Psalm 16:11 |

Dear Roger, I'm just finishing your book on New Wine and the Babylonian Vine. I'm just blown away in what I'm reading. I'm just turning 69, and have been a Christian for only 5 years, but I have a hunger to read and learn so I can share and do my part to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm simultaneously studying about creation and am a fan of Ken Ham's Answers in Genesis, and the ICR Institute. Your book has been a blessing to me in particular about Catholicism. I also have been troubled by the TNN broadcasts at times, and also don't agree with Benny Hinn's viewpoints. My first church I went to after giving my heart to Jesus was an independent charismatic church, and they were trying to convince me that if I didn't speak in tongues, I wasn't baptised in the Holy Spirit. I'm also an avid listener of CSN radio, which is where I heard you and bought your book, and the Lord brought me a teaching about tongues and how some churches are insisting that it must be a gift to be received. Even as a young Christian I could read scripture and see that is not the case. I also have attended Calvary Chapel Camano Island, Washington (state) and Pastor Wayne Taylor's Calvary Fellowship in Mountlake Terrace (just outside Seattle). I'm presently attending Northwest Church in Shoreline (north Seattle) mainly to minister to my oldest son I moved up her from LA, and I have him planted in that church. He lives in a care facility for advanced Aids just a mile from Northwest Church. If you ever get up here to the Seattle area I must see your speaking engagement. God Bless, you are a gifted writer and excellent researcher. Kess , Camano Island, Wa. |

Roger,
it is amazing that you have been blessed with the vision of taking the Gospel to the furthest corners of the world. I love your e-mails -it makes me realize what tremendous opportunities there still are to take the life-saving message to the spiritual hungry - it seems our North Americans, have sat at the "Banquet Table" too long, & are no longer congnitive of the tremendous "spiritual anorexia" they are suffering from - Keep on doing the work you have been called to do - remember, there are many of us who are praying for you and your ministry. Thank
you so much for your insightful and bold words this
past weekend at the conference. I want to encourage
you to continue speaking the truth. I am sure it is
tougher than I can imagine to be in your
position…but you are truly doing God’s work. I plan to pass around our DVDs of the conference…your messages are well documented and shocking to those who are being deceived. Also, just a quick not that I listened to about half of the McLaren interview and had to shut it off…it was making me feel ill. But I need the continual reminder that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. May God bless you in your daily walk with Him. Only by the cross, Karen |

Dear
Roger, I just wanted to thank you for your teaching today at the conference in Iowa, I really enjoyed it. You delivered what you had to say very clearly, and very easy to follow. It is refreshing, in a world so seeking experiences, to hear my thoughts and fears coming from someone else. Thank you. There are very few Bible teaching Pastor/teachers left, I treasure every single one that I have heard. Best Wishes and thanks again Jane |

Dearest Brother Roger, Thanks again for this weeks encouraging broadcasts. I may have mentioned to you before that I usually listen to all of them in one sitting on-line, while I follow along with your transcript. When you related your first mission trip, I also had tears in my eyes. Over the years I've read and re-read to my family the stories of Hudson Taylor, Brother Andrew, Corrie ten Boom, Bruce Olsen (Bruchko), and others... and I am still struck with awe that I am also allowed to be a missionary in the Lord's field. In fact, our present mission seems to my wife, Lisa, and I somewhat two-fold. Not only are we missionaries to the Yup'ik Eskimo of western Alaska, but as a Calvary Chapel pastor that is now ministering within the Evangelical Covenant Church, we feel that God has called us as missionaries to this denomination to share some of God's Biblical insights that they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to see or hear. One of the ways we hope the Lord is allowing these Biblical insights and perspectives to come forth is by promoting some of those awesome ministries in this part of the world, such as: Understand the Times Int., Koinonia House, The Word for Today, etc. Therefore, we are blessed beyond words for your ministry, and its availability on the Internet, most especially. Although we have links to Understand the Times on the Resources Page and Links Page of our website, we are planning to launch a "Prophecy Page" very soon that will actively promote the resources from Understand the Times as well as other end-times and discernment ministries that are in keeping with the sound Biblical doctrines you teach on the program. Lisa and I pray that you are encouraged that your ministry does reach one of the most remote parts of the planet, Scammon Bay, Alaska. We are honored to be, even in the smallest way, a part of such a far-reaching and needed ministry, as Understand the Times is. Blessings in Jesus' name, jon cardwell scammon bay covenant church scammon bay, alaska |

Dear Brother Roger
Oakland, Greetings in Jesus' Name! I have been receiving your weekly updates, and I have already bought your DVD "Messages from Heaven". I can't express how much I appreciate your messages, articles and your stand for the truth. I thank the Lord for your ministry. Being a pastor in a Catholic country - Portugal - I fully agree that the Roman Catholic Church is growing in its deceitfulness, as I see how idolatrous my people is becoming. Fatima is growing in its power to deceive and seduce. Unfortunately, there are evangelical pastors who believe we should dialogue with Catholics and even cooperate with them. I wish there could be a way to spread your messages in Portugal, using our language. May be the Lord will guide you someday in that direction. I'll continue praying for you and your ministry, and I am available for any cooperation in order to help my people see the truth. Sincerely yours, in Jesus, Normando - Portugal |

Dear Roger, I want to thank you for your ministry. It has been a blessing to me and my friends. I look forward to the chance to tell you in person. I know there will be a crowd who will be anxious to say thanks. I won't mind waiting in line, because I'll have an eternity to reach the head of the line. Of course, heaven isn't constrained by three dimensions, so the multitude may be able to express their gratitude in a twinkling of an eye. Thanks! God bless, always and all ways. Tim Lima, New York |
