Report – Bryce Homes Kenya The Bryce Homes Programs in Myanmar, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa are very much dependent on the godly leadership God has raised up in these countries. These leaders are accountable men and women who carefully and faithfully distribute the resources donated through Understand The Times. It is our policy to visit every Bryce Home country each year. The number of Homes continue to grow with the figure now approaching sixty. While we have never actively solicited for resources, when reports of the progress are posted to our web site, people respond in a very generous way. This is how growth has occurred in the past. God has truly blessed this work beyond what we ever envisioned. While in Kenya in March of 2015, I visited all 25 Homes that have been established there. Twenty-one of the Homes in Kenya are widows and orphans. Fifteen new houses have been constructed over the past several years. Food and other basic supplies are provided each month as our three leaders translate the funds we send into bags of rice, beans, maize, and other basic supplies then deliver these supplies by rented motorbikes and vehicles over impossible terrain. Widow Franciscar One of the new Bryce Homes added to our program this past year is Widow Franciscar and her three children. This young woman, aged 26, was left in a hopeless situation when her husband passed away. I was deeply touched by her testimony when we visited her. She and her three children along with a younger sister were living in a one-room mud shack approximately 8 feet square. There was one dirty mattress inside shared by the entire family.

Through these funds, we have seen a miracle unfold before our eyes. A new four-room brick house has now been completed along with furniture and a cook stove with a chimney that will vent the smoke outdoors.
Following is a short testimony that expresses Franciscar’s appreciation for what God has done for her through the Bryce Homes Kenya Program: I am humbled as a Widow and a child of God to testify of His goodness to me and my children. Through the able hand of Almighty God, He has favored his servant to share their blessings to put up for me a beautiful permanent interlocking bricked house with proper installation, such as beds, three-seater sofa set, blankets for all of my family, and mattresses. I thank God because I am the first person to have such kind of a house in the entire community, people are amazed by the type of house I have. In addition, I have been able to receive food stuff on a monthly basis. In the recent past, all these have collectively improved my health as well as my children’s living standard.
