Gogo Jessi has really appreciated the support of Bryce Homes! This past year she has grown spiritually, with very consistent church attendance. Through Bryce homes funding we were also able to help her put in a side walk to her house so that when it rains she is able to walk easily up to the street. She continues to babysit neighbors’ children for extra income.
Aunty Thandi continues to be our Elderly Care Coordinator and receives a small stipend with that. She has grown this past year as she has attended church regularly as well as Tuesday night Bible Study. She has also become part of the worship team. We are so thankful for her heart of compassion. She has brought several new ladies to church recently as well. This year we offered sewing classes and Thandi is a natural!! Thandi is very thankful for the food parcel from Bryce Homes. It helps her to take care of her family and knowing her, take care of many others too!!
Ma Zondi is doing well and gives God thanks for all He has done in her life. She was so thankful for God’s provision for her family when her Grandson passed away this year. She never lost hope and pointed her family to Christ through it all. She attends church regularly. She is thankful for the food parcel from Bryce Homes and her family really relies on that support. Because of her stroke and physical limitations finding work is not possible. She survives on the government pension and the support of Bryce homes.
Samke and her granny are doing well. She is busy with school and still struggles with consistent church attendance. Please continue to pray for her. There are so many negative influences in the community and we want her to grow in her faith and stand strong.
Nombuso is always such a gracious and happy young woman. Now that she has recovered from her replacement of the hip replacement, she is feeling strong again. She has managed to keep up with her studies and evening classes. She will finish her course in June and hopes to enroll in a school to take administration. Her and her family are so thankful for the support of Bryce Homes. Nombuso always looks forward to being at church and youth!!
Nokthula and granny have had a lot of challenges this past year. With Nokthula now dependent on the wheelchair, it has been discouraging and difficult. Bryce Homes helped them with the extra room and the sidewalk, which have made the situation so much better. Nokthula is making plans to return to school in January and will most likely be placed in grade 10, which is where she was when her surgery interrupted things. The family’s church attendance is good and God is working in their lives!! The family is so thankful for Bryce Homes and although they do have a small income from babysitting, it is not enough and they rely on the food parcel each month. Just this week we heard testimony from Nokthula that she now has feeling in one leg!! She is thankful for the prayers and we believe God will heal her to walk again!!!
Busi and her family are doing well! Busi is still very involved in the ministry including the feeding schemes and after school program. Falu and Sthembile are thriving under Busi’s care and they are all so thankful for the assistance Bryce homes gives them with food parcels, school uniforms and school fees!!
The Gumede family has had several ups and downs lately and we have really been praying for God to give them discernment with the things going on around them. MaGumede and Nosipho have continued to attend church regularly and we pray that God will continue to work in the rest of the family. The family has been working on the house construction in the rural area and it is almost finished. There have been challenges and we pray they learn to trust Jesus through all the difficulties. Please pray for MaGumede’s health, as she has had a lot of sickness this past few months. The family is always thankful for the Bryce Homes and the help they receive.
As a ministry we have really appreciated the Bryce Homes support. We can see how the Bryce Homes Ministry has strengthened and encouraged some of the families in the church and they are now reaching out and showing Christ’s love to others. As a result the church is growing. As a church we have been doing what we can to teach skills to the ladies with sewing and baking classes this year. We also recently did computer classes. The foundation for everything we do is Christ. We want those we are helping to not be dependent on us but on Jesus!!
